The company designs, builds, installs, and maintains equipment employed in the production of long steel products. The GMB team consists of highly qualified engineers, and support staff, that provide customized solutions for their customers’ unique challenges. GMB’s flexible structure, allows us to supply our customers with one-off components, or complete turnkey solutions that aim to improve their production output. Our staff works closely with our customers to simplify complex problems, and to develop solutions that satisfy their needs.

What We Need
GMB is interested in hiring a recent graduate, or a student soon to graduate, who possesses the following:
• Mechanical Engineering Technology/Technologist Diploma
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• High energy, enthusiasm, and motivation
• Willingness to be cross-trained and provide support in multiple areas
• Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel as a minimum
• Willingness and freedom to travel, particularly to the United States
The following would be considered as asset but is not mandatory:
• Exposure to Solid Works
The target candidate is someone who is interested in learning the various aspects of the engineering design and manufacturing industry. Over time, this training would expose the trainee to different aspects of the company’s operation; such as manufacturing, material procurement, site surveys, and project management. As the majority of GMB’s customers are located in the United States, it is important that applicants for this position possess a valid passport and are free to travel whenever required.
